Three generations, 125 people, 8 branches and workshops between Caen and Orléans. Sodimavi Group sells, services, rents and supplies parts for commercial vehicles from 3.5 to 250 tonnes — for owner-drivers, tradespeople and large fleets alike.
Who we are
A family business, servicing innovation since 1954
Sodimavi was founded in 1954 by Pierre Rebuffé in Artenay, near Orléans. What began as an agricultural and industrial machinery dealership turned decisively towards trucks when his son Patrick joined the business: Sodimavi became a Volvo dealer in the mid-1970s and has represented the brand ever since.
The group is now run by the third generation — Thibaut, Grégoire and Tristan Rebuffé — and covers eight French départements from Normandy to the Loire Valley, with Volvo Trucks, Isuzu and Kögel under one roof.
Seventy years on, the priorities have not changed: know our customers' business, keep their vehicles on the road, and stay one step ahead on the technology that makes their fleets more productive and cleaner.

Our story
Seventy years, three generations
- 1954Pierre Rebuffé founds Sodimavi in Artenay (Loiret), a Bolinder-Munktell dealership serving farming and industry.
- 1974 – 1976Patrick Rebuffé joins and steers the company towards heavy trucks. Sodimavi becomes a Volvo dealer.
- 1988 – 2003Montargis (Pannes), Saint-Pierre-des-Corps near Tours and Chartres join the group.
- 2004New head office opens in Saran, on the northern edge of Orléans.
- 2009Mondeville (Caen) is acquired and the Isuzu partnership begins. Thibaut and Grégoire Rebuffé join the company.
- 2015 – 2018A service branch opens in Alençon, Val de Loire VI is integrated, a new building is built in Mondeville and Tristan Rebuffé joins.
- 2020Kögel partnership signed; the business passes to Patrick's three sons — the third generation.
- 2022 – 2025A new workshop in Pannes, a new visual identity, and a fully refurbished head office in Saran.

Sustainability
Cleaner transport, in practice
Reducing the footprint of road transport is part of the job. We run our own environmental programme across the eight sites, and we help customers move to the alternatives that actually fit their operations.
In May 2026 we hosted the Volvo Trucks LNG Tour in Caen, Chartres and Orléans, putting gas-powered long-haul tractors in front of the operators who are weighing up alternatives to diesel — alongside the electric Volvo FH now in our range.
